2026 BYD Tang Flagship 108.8kWh 7-Seater Review: Real-World Family Road Trip Range & 170kW Charging
-
We needed a genuine 7-seater EV that didn't cost Kia EV9 GT-Line or Volvo EX90 money, so we picked up a facelifted BYD Tang Flagship AWD (108.8kWh Blade Battery).

Quick Specs & First 4,500 Miles:
- Battery: 108.8 kWh LFP Blade Battery (usable)
- Drivetrain: Dual-motor AWD (380 kW / 517 PS, 0–62 mph in 4.9s)
- Suspension: DiSus-C electronically controlled adaptive dampers
- Real-World Motorway Range (70 mph, 5 passengers + luggage): 285 miles (458 km) from 100% to 8%.
- DC Fast Charging: Peaked at 172 kW on an Ionity 350kW unit, holding above 135 kW past 65% SOC.
Third-row legroom is ideal for kids/teens up to about 5'7", and the Nappa leather ventilated massage seats in the front row feel properly luxurious.

285 miles at 70 mph loaded up in a 2.6-tonne 7-seater SUV is seriously impressive for LFP chemistry! How do you find the DiSus-C suspension over broken British B-roads when set to Comfort mode?
