BYD Shark 6 DMO 6.6 kW V2L Worksite Test: Running a Mitre Saw, Air Compressor & Welder Simultaneously
-
Put the 6.6 kW V2L system on my BYD Shark 6 Ute to the ultimate tradie worksite test today on an unpowered new-build block:

On-Road Impressions, Efficiency & Setup Details
- Plugged my 1,800W Makita compound mitre saw and 1,500W air compressor into two of the 240V tub sockets, while running the 4-port 18V battery rapid charger on the third socket.
- Zero voltage sag, zero breaker trips, and after 7 hours on site it only used 18% of the Blade Battery!

Not having to lug a noisy 70kg Honda petrol generator and jerry cans in the back of the ute to run drop saws on an unpowered site is a game changer for chippies!

@GarethPhillips_NSW And if the battery ever drops down to 20% on a big job, the 1.5T DMO generator automatically starts up and recharges the pack on the spot.

@OscarR_SCO My clients love that there's no generator exhaust or noise echoing through the neighbourhood at 7:30am.

Subscribed to this thread. Has anyone here compared this behaviour before and after the latest DiLink OTA firmware update? Mine felt noticeably smoother in low-speed traffic afterwards.
