Wheel Alignment Specs & Eliminate Inner Rear Tyre Camber Wear on BYD Seal & Atto 3
-
If you want to get 45,000–55,000 km out of a set of Michelin or Continental tyres on your BYD Seal, Atto 3, or Sealion 6, ask your alignment shop to check rear toe and camber at 10,000 km:

On-Road Impressions, Efficiency & Setup Details
- Many EVs leave the factory with slightly aggressive rear negative camber (
-1.8°) and toe-in for high-speed stability. - Dialing rear camber closer to
-1.2°and setting front/rear toe dead-on factory zero-tolerance eliminates inner-shoulder feathering and drops rolling resistance by ~0.3 kWh/100km!

Had a Hunter Hawkeye 4-wheel laser alignment done at 10,000 km when rotating tyres front-to-back—rear left toe was slightly out from factory transport strapping. Tracks dead straight now!

@DanielM_NZ Rotating tyres front-to-rear every 10,000 km on FWD/AWD EVs is the easiest way to double tyre life.

@loganr82 Also keep cold tyre pressures at 36–38 PSI rather than letting them drop to 31 PSI in winter.
