This is actually a known issue on quite a few new Seals! There is an official software patch available at the dealership that fixes the interior sensor sensitivity.

Hooked up our 2.2-tonne tandem-axle off-road caravan to the BYD Shark 6 for a 1,400 km test run from Brisbane up to Airlie Beach.

Towing Telemetry & Settings:

• Mode: Engaged Tow Mode + set Forced SOC Hold at 60% before merging onto the Bruce Highway.
• Cruising Speed: 95–100 km/h with Redarc Tow-Pro Elite brake controller.
• Fuel Consumption: Averaged 11.4 L/100km towing 2.2 tonnes—and whenever we hit steep climbs, the dual electric motors pulled effortlessly without hunting gears!
• Overnight Free-Camping: Plugged the caravan's 15A shore-power inlet straight into the Shark's tub V2L socket to run the caravan air-con and microwave silently.
