I had the same dilemma moving from diesel Kodiak, Sealion 7 excellence or seal u. I've ordered the sealion, after 4 test drives, it's just so much more comfortable for going long trips, and it has 239kw charging. 20 mins for 300km range. On my 2 days driving it, mix of rural and motorway, 20c weather, it happily did 19kw/100 Kms with climate control on. So 400km to 450, but 400 before charging. I'd be light footed but I was a bit more sporty that day

BYD Dolphin vs Dolphin Mini (Atto 1): Practicality, Boot Space & Highway StabilityFor anyone cross-shopping the BYD Dolphin against the ultra-compact BYD Dolphin Mini (Atto 1), I spent a week driving both back-to-back over 12,000 km Owner Telemetry of city streets and ring-road motorways.

Direct Comparison:
- City Parking & Agility: The Dolphin Mini (Atto 1) slots into tiny kerbside gaps effortlessly and sips just 10.8 kWh/100km around town.
- Motorway Poise (110 km/h): The larger BYD Dolphin (60.4 kWh) with its longer wheelbase and multi-link rear suspension feels noticeably more planted in crosswinds.
- Boot & Split-Floor Storage: Adding a moulded lower boot liner under the Dolphin's adjustable false floor easily holds the Type 2 cable, V2L strip, and tyre kit out of sight.
