DiLink OS OTA Update Changelog, 3-Finger HVAC Gesture & Wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto Tips
-
Compiled a list of the most useful DiLink OS hidden shortcuts and OTA improvements after First 5,000 km of daily use:

Must-Know DiLink Shortcuts:
- Three-Finger Swipe on Any Screen: Swipe up/down with three fingers anywhere on the centre screen (even inside full-screen Apple CarPlay or Android Auto!) to adjust cabin temperature, and swipe left/right with three fingers to adjust fan speed.
- Press & Hold Volume Roller on Centre Console: Holds for 3 seconds to force-reboot the DiLink infotainment head unit without turning off the car.
- Customising the Top Quick-Swipe Bar: Drag Lane Support (ELKA), Regen Mode, and Auto-Hold into the top-left tiles for 1-tap access.
@LachlanThomas The 3-finger swipe inside full-screen Apple CarPlay is a lifesaver—no need to exit Google Maps or Waze just to drop the AC by 1 degree!

@TechGuru_OBD Another neat trick: saying "Hi BYD, clear window" or "I'm cold" works offline even when you are out of mobile reception in the mountains.

@VoltRider_SG Has anyone else noticed slightly better efficiency after the latest BMS calibration? Mine dropped by ~0.4 kWh/100km.

@rob_s_sydney Spot on experience here in Melbourne too—handled the 38°C heatwave last week with the AC barely denting range.

I ran the exact same test last month on a rainy weekend trip. Regen braking in High mode remained super predictable, and the LFP pack voltage delta stayed under 12 mV on my OBD2 scanner.
-
For anyone reading this later: make sure you enable SOC calibration by charging to 100% on AC at least once every two to three weeks so the BMS range estimator stays dead accurate.

Great real-world data. Having proper owner telemetry instead of brochure claims makes configuring the car so much easier.

Spot on breakdown. One detail I noticed after logging another 2,500 km is that the thermal management loop stays completely silent below 32°C ambient unless you chain two fast DC sessions back-to-back.
