Took our brand-new BYD Sealion 6 Dynamic DM-i from Adelaide up to Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges (1,100 km round trip) for a winter bush camping weekend!

Adelaide to Flinders Ranges (Wilpena Pound) 1,100 km Winter Road Trip & V2L Glamping in BYD Sealion 6

On-Road Impressions, Efficiency & Setup Details

    • Did the entire 1,100 km outback loop on a single tank of petrol + 1 initial charge (still had 190 km of fuel range left when pulling back into Adelaide!).
    • Ran a 240V electric blanket and camp kettle inside our swags at -1°C overnight off the V2L socket—used just 4% battery per night.

1,100 km to Flinders Ranges and back on a single tank PLUS running electric blankets at -1°C in the swags off V2L—that is what the Sealion 6 was built for!

@Callum_J_Seal No range anxiety in remote outback SA and zero noisy generator fumes in the national park.
