After Tuesday night's summer storm knocked out grid power in our suburb for 19 hours, our BYD Atto 3's 3.3 kW V2L adapter saved two full chest freezers of food!
Our Emergency V2L Load Breakdown (19 Hours):
- Kitchen Fridge/Freezer + Garage Chest Freezer: ~180W continuous (1,100W compressor startup surge handled easily).
- Starlink / NBN Router + Mesh Wi-Fi + Home Office Laptops: ~95W.
- Kettle + Microwave (intermittent) + Pedestal Fans: ~2,000W peak.
- Total Battery Used in 19 Hours: Only 9% SOC (~5.4 kWh)!
