Australian BYD Owners Club Meetup at Sydney Olympic Park: 45 Cars (Shark 6, Sealion 6/7, Seal, Atto 3 & Dolphin)!

Huge turnout at our Sydney BYD Owners Coffee & Cars Meetup this morning at Sydney Olympic Park—45 cars lined up side by side!

Had 14 Shark 6 Utes (three with full canopy + rooftop tent touring builds), 12 Sealion 6 & Sealion 7 SUVs, 11 Seals (including two on forged 20-inch wheels), and 8 Atto 3 & Dolphins. We ran three commercial espresso machines simultaneously off two Shark 6 V2L outlets for morning flat whites!

Powering three commercial coffee machines off the Shark 6 V2L outlets in the car park is legendary! Great meeting everyone this morning.

@LeoRoberts_NZ Loved checking out the different all-terrain tyre setups on the Shark 6 builds side by side—convinced me to go with the Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 265/65R18.

@mia_murp_sco When is the next Melbourne or Brisbane meetup happening? Would love to bring our Sealion 7 down!

Can confirm from my own ownership log — keeping tyre pressures at 2.5 bar cold instead of the dealer-delivered 2.2 bar immediately shaved about 0.8 kWh/100km off my highway average.

Interesting point about the charging curve. I found that plugging in around 15–18% SOC gives the fastest sustained peak kW before the BMS gently tapers above 80%.
