How to Check Your DiLink Hardware Version (DiLink 3.0 / 4.0 / 5.0) & Best Entertainment Setup While Supercharging
-
Since different production years and models run different Qualcomm Snapdragon cockpit chips, here is how to identify your exact DiLink Hardware & Firmware revision and the cleanest ways to watch YouTube, Netflix, or Kayo Sports on the 15.6" screen while parked at a DC fast charger.
1. Checking Your DiLink Chipset & Firmware Version
Go to Settings → System → Version → Software Detail:
13.1.32.xxxxxx(Qualcomm SM6125 / 665): Standard DiLink 3.0/4.0 on 2022–2023 Atto 3 & Dolphin.13.1.33.xxxxxx(Qualcomm SM6375 / 695 5G): Upgraded 6nm octacore on 2024+ Seal, Sealion 6, Shark 6, and refreshed Atto 3.23.1.xx.xxxxxx/ DiLink 100 (6nm D100): Latest high-speed cockpit on Sealion 7 and 2025/2026 flagship models.
2. Three Ways to Stream Video When Parked (Without Downgrading Firmware!)
- Built-in BYD Browser (Zero Install, Works on All Versions): Open the pre-installed Browser app, bookmark
youtube.com,abc.net.au/iview, orbbc.co.uk/iplayer, and tap Full Screen. - CarLinkit TBox Plus / Ottocast AI Box (Plug into Data USB-A/C Port): Turns the wired CarPlay port into an independent Android 13 tablet with full Google Play Store (Netflix, Disney+, Kayo, Plex) while keeping your factory BYD firmware 100% untouched.
- USB Sideloading (On early 13.1.32 builds): Putting a folder named
third party appson a FAT32 USB stick (though newer 2025/2026 security patches lock out USB APK installs unless you use the built-in BYD App Market).

Honestly, Since BYD added the native Browser and BYD App Store (with YouTube & Stingray Karaoke) in the recent OTA updates, I don't even bother sideloading APKs anymore. Full-screen YouTube in the native browser runs at 1080p60 with zero lag on the 15.6-inch screen while waiting 20 mins at an Evie charger.

For anyone who wants Netflix, Kayo Sports (for the footy/cricket!), and Disney+ in Australia without touching the car's warranty or firmware, the CarLinkit TBox Plus (8GB+128GB) plugged into the centre console USB data port is brilliant. Boots in 15 seconds and runs split-screen.
