BYD Seal Performance AWD (390 kW) vs Premium RWD: Long-Distance Highway & Track Telemetry
-
Logging 15,000 km Winter & Summer Log on my BYD Seal Performance AWD (390 kW / 670 Nm, iTAC torque vectoring, FSD frequency-selective dampers) and comparing notes with our local club's Seal Premium RWD (230 kW).

Real-World Range & Handling Findings:
- Highway Efficiency (110 km/h): Thanks to the 0.219 Cd aerodynamic drag coefficient and CTB (Cell-to-Body) 82.5 kWh Blade Battery, the Premium RWD achieves 15.4 kWh/100km (~500 km highway range), while the Performance AWD sits at 16.9 kWh/100km (~455 km highway range).
- iTAC & Wet Cornering: The Intelligent Torque Adaption Control (iTAC) shifts torque between the front 160 kW induction motor and rear 230 kW permanent-magnet motor before wheel slip even registers on the ABS ring.
- 150 kW Peak CCS2 Charging: Pre-conditioning the battery before arriving at an ultra-rapid charger holds 145–152 kW from 15% to 52% SOC.

@paul_h_goldcoast The CTB torsional rigidity (40,500 Nm/deg) on the Seal is immediately noticeable on twisty B-roads—zero chassis flex and the steering turn-in is razor sharp.
