Heated steering wheel turning off after some time

So mid October I got my BYD seal U boost and I love it. However I’ve noticed over the last week that when I put the heated steering wheel on, after a while it just turns itself off. Ive never noticed this before - was this how it should be? The heated seats are fine and stay on until I either switch it off or switch the car off. So I’m wondering if something has gone wrong with the software re: heated steering wheel.
