BYD Atto 2 DM-i Boost (EU) – Wiring Diagram & Dashcam Retrofit Help Needed

Hi everyone! I am trying to install a clean, hidden factory-style dashcam in my European 2026 BYD Atto 2 DM-i Boost. I pulled the trim to inspect the multimedia unit and noted down the unit details: Part Number 16966516-00, Model Code SC3HAU-7924200NL-Y8.
Does anyone have access to a wiring diagram, connector pinout, or function descriptions for the sockets on this specific unit? My car has the microSD card slot installed on the infotainment housing, but there is no pre-wired dashcam harness behind the rearview mirror. If anyone has successfully retrofitted an OEM camera or hardwired a stealth aftermarket camera on the EU Atto 2 DM-i, I would really appreciate any tips, pinout specs, or recommended camera kits!

The EU spec models often omit the overhead 12V feed that the Chinese and Australian market trims get. You'll likely need to tap ignition power from the fuse box below the glove compartment or pull a clean ACC line from the back of the center console.

I managed to install a Fitcamx stealth dashcam on my Atto 2, but I had to run the power cable down the A-pillar using an fuse tap harness instead of retrofitting directly into the head unit socket.

Thanks for the feedback! Tapping into the fuse box seems like the safest bet if the head unit harness pinout isn't documented anywhere yet.

If you end up hardwiring to the fuse box, make sure to test the ACC slot with a multimeter first—some of those slots stay powered for up to 15 minutes after locking.

@AngusJ_CHC Popped the mirror trim cover off with a nylon tool this morning and the pre-wired blue LVDS connector was sitting right there in the foam sleeve—10-minute plug-and-play install with a 128GB PRO Endurance card!
