On-Road Impressions, Efficiency & Setup Details
The quilted Nappa leather seats with ventilation, electric sunblind, W-HUD projection on the windscreen, and DiSus-C adaptive suspension feel straight out of a £85,000 Porsche Macan EV.
-
Huge congrats! Shark Grey with the 20-inch twin-spoke wheels and red front 4-pot calipers looks sensational.
@Callum_EV Test drove the Sealion 7 Excellence last weekend—the 50W cooled wireless phone charger and Dynaudio 12-speaker system are top tier.

@Angus_Hall Wait until you try a 350 kW Ionity charger on the motorway—seeing a BYD pull 230 kW and go from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes is rapid!

Spot on breakdown. One detail I noticed after logging another 2,500 km is that the thermal management loop stays completely silent below 32°C ambient unless you chain two fast DC sessions back-to-back.
-
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Tested these exact settings on my weekend highway run and cabin NVH + efficiency were spot on.
-
My experience has been almost identical over the past 4 months. Zero rattles in the cabin so far, and the 360-degree camera clarity at night is still the best in its price bracket.
-
Interesting point about the charging curve. I found that plugging in around 15–18% SOC gives the fastest sustained peak kW before the BMS gently tapers above 80%.
-
For anyone reading this later: make sure you enable SOC calibration by charging to 100% on AC at least once every two to three weeks so the BMS range estimator stays dead accurate.
-
Subscribed to this thread. Has anyone here compared this behaviour before and after the latest DiLink OTA firmware update? Mine felt noticeably smoother in low-speed traffic afterwards.
-
I ran the exact same test last month on a rainy weekend trip. Regen braking in High mode remained super predictable, and the LFP pack voltage delta stayed under 12 mV on my OBD2 scanner.
