Been following the export confirmation for the 3-row 6/7-seater Denza B8 (Fangchengbao Bao 😎 closely—it's essentially the big brother to the Shark 6 and Denza B5 on a full body-on-frame 4x4 chassis. Check out the hardware specs:

What do we think of the Denza B8 (Bao 8) 7-Seater DMO 4x4? 550 kW + DiSus-P hydraulic suspension!

    1. Key Highlights & What Stood Out to Me

Alongside the 5-seater Denza B5 (Bao 5), BYD has confirmed that the larger 3-Row 6/7-Seater Denza B8 (Fangchengbao Bao 😎 will join the international export lineup!

    • Dimensions: 5,195 mm long × 1,994 mm wide × 1,905 mm tall on a full DMO body-on-frame 4x4 chassis.
    • Powertrain: 2.0T DMO Super Hybrid + Dual Electric Motors producing 550 kW (737 hp) and 760 Nm (0–100 km/h in 4.8s!).
    • Suspension: Standard DiSus-P full hydraulic active suspension with 140mm of height adjustment and 3,500 kg braked towing capacity.

    2. Closer Look at the Specs & Hardware Packaging

Technical Parameter Official BYD Specification & Benchmark
Platform Architecture DMO Super Hybrid Body-on-Frame (CTC Ladder Chassis)
    Combined System Output 321 kW (430 hp) / 650 Nm Dual-Motor AWD
Battery Chemistry & Capacity 29.58 kWh LFP Blade Battery + 6.6 kW V2L Discharge
Suspension Layout Front & Rear Independent Double-Wishbone Coil Springs

    3. Serious LandCruiser 300 / Defender 130 Alternative?

With 550 kW / 760 Nm, DiSus-P hydraulic height-adjustable suspension, front/rear diff locks, and 3,500 kg braked towing, would you take a Denza B8 over a twin-turbo diesel LandCruiser 300 for big family caravanning trips?

    550 kW / 760 Nm in a 7-seater body-on-frame 4x4 with DiSus-P hydraulic suspension and 3,500 kg towing is a direct LandCruiser 300 / Defender 130 killer!

@MarcusHarris Being able to drop the DiSus-P hydraulic suspension by 50mm to fit under 2.0m city shopping centre car park height bars and then lift it 90mm for rock crawling is awesome.

@finlayp86 The 6-seater layout with electric walk-through second-row captain's chairs looks super plush.

Great write-up! If anyone is on the fence, definitely take a 45-minute test drive on coarse-chip highway tarmac first — the acoustic glass makes a bigger difference than the spec sheet suggests.

Appreciate the honest perspective! Every EV and PHEV platform has trade-offs, and seeing real long-term feedback like this is why independent owner forums are way more useful than brochure numbers.

For anyone reading this later: make sure you enable SOC calibration by charging to 100% on AC at least once every two to three weeks so the BMS range estimator stays dead accurate.

My experience has been almost identical over the past 4 months. Zero rattles in the cabin so far, and the 360-degree camera clarity at night is still the best in its price bracket.

Can confirm the latest DiLink OTA firmware smoothed out the power delivery curve and improved wireless CarPlay reconnection speed noticeably.

Bookmarking this thread for reference. The build quality and LFP thermal consistency on long climbs have exceeded expectations so far.

Spot on regarding cold tyre pressures and regenerative braking calibration—smooths out low-speed town driving immediately.
