Running the cable down the left A-pillar (tucked behind the side curtain airbag!) takes an extra 15 minutes.

The blue cable was tucked right behind the rain sensor connector wrapped in black sponge tape. Rebooted the screen (hold the centre console volume roller down for 10 seconds) and the DVR app popped straight up.
